Spring Update March 26'

Brighter days ahead soon golfers...and hopefully drier ones too!

Many parkland courses are still a bit damp around Edinburgh and the Lothians and we just need a wee bit more heat to start a spurt of growth on the fairways and greens.

Links courses in the Lothians have also had more than their average quota of rainfall these past few months so fair weather golfers haven't missed out on much so far this year.

The removal of winter fairway mats has been a relief to one particular Hipjoint golfer and there has been a slight game improvement but confidence in his golfing ability has not yet returned....but patience is a virtue...so they say.

On a recent visit to my local driving range I had an interesting conversation with a very low handicapper about swing planes resulting in him showing me how his Orange Ball Swing Trainer helped him with his timing and another chap was doing stretching exercises with his orange ball trainer too...very handy I thought.

Yes I did buy one but I don't recommend practicing indoors especially if you have a classic golf portrait collection.

Don't stand it up in the corner of a dimly lit room at night either as you might fall out with it after a few glasses of wine!

The best orange ball to help your golf game is undoubtedly the big one in the sky........ here's hoping we see more of it soon.

The Hipjoint golf team have also been busy in our golf gadget factory during the rainy days and we have managed to make a few batches of golf goodybags which we will be donating to some Junior Golf Sections from Clubs in and around Edinburgh.

Please get in touch with us if your Golf Club is based around Edinburgh and has an active Junior Section or maybe an Easter teaching camp coming up and we will try and send them some of our products.

Happy Golfing!
